Fidget House the new Blog House which was Electro House
Wow! Just when I thought “House” was at it’s end, new house styles are dying and rising faster then you can say “When I Hear Music It Makes Me Dance!” Fidget House?!?!? WTF? One thing that most of these style have in common is the pounding 1-2-3-4 beat which is on the heels of Hardcore but less dark and more infused with sweet skittles.
This is why I love House so much! Always changing, always evolving but staying true to it’s roots. Ok That’s my friday rant, have a listen to some top notch “Fidget House” gotta love it.

ADIDAS ZX 500 (HUF) / Preppie Thug Shoe
As the ‘H’ in this collaborative project, San Franciso’s HUF pay tribute to their city’s railroad history with a canvas upper that homages the hickory striped uniform of the railway worker. Far from workmanlike, this intelligent conceptual approach goes the distance in terms of detail, from the brass eyelets, branded ghilly lacing system and tipped laces, to the all-over lettering on the tongue, completed by a gum outsole. A bold move that pays dividends, the shoe is packaged with a matching striped drawstring bag embellished by six brass badges, making for another classic from a store that truly overstands the collaborative shoe process. Justice + Garageband = BanginBeats!
As one of the most hyped duos in electronic music it’s only natural that people want to know the tools of Justice’s trade, perhaps in an effort to emulate their success. When first starting out, budding producers will often dip their toes into the water with some of the more rudimentary software packages around, like Fruity Loops, Reason, or Mac’s popular GarageBand program.
In a recent interview with Pitchfork, Justice let everyone in on a little secret; they produce all their music, including their critically acclaimed 2007 debut album †, on GarageBand. “It’s amazing,” Xavier de Rosnay said. “A lot of people think it’s bullshit when we say we use GarageBand, but it’s actually an amazing tool.” [inthemix]

DJ Mag / Top 100 DJ’s 2008 / Will BlogHouse Win?
It’s that time of year again to clean out your room… NOT! It’s time to vote for your favorite DJ of 2008. Who will top this year’s chart? Who will be rejected by DJmag for not playing by the rules?
Since the last Top 100 DJ poll house and bands have been evolving and recreating. Creating what I thought was electro house then soon turned electronic and the real kicker here ‘BlogHouse’! WTF? One has to ask are the Crookers as much as a dj like Paul Van Dyke or BadBoyBill?
If this DJmag poll starts to circulate like a tornado in the blog era, we might see some unfamiliar DJ and genres on the top of the charts.

Apple iPhone App / BeatMaker / SortaCool.
BeatMaker is a pretty cool app with a lot of potential. You can sequence beats based on sample packs provided with the app or downloadable from the Internet, and using software the company behind BeatMaker provides, you can put your own sample packs together. [Read more... InTheJungle]
