This time the affable shoe a gets a great make over inspired by the Far East with a very cool colorway. The shoes upper is cool grey and features a Koi print on the heel and ankle. The swoosh is done in metallic silver but the midsole and laces get hits of white to offset the theme. These are available now at Shelta [kicksonfire]

In conjunction with the World Cup 2010, the adidas annual soccer tournament in New York City was globalized under the name ‘adiCup’. Besides New York, similar tournaments were held at Tokyo and Berlin throughout the month of May and June.

Known to make whimsical settings the Do Lab has recently be asked to help out with the UK biggest festival The Global Gathering. Inspired by poonk rock, this release by Yohji Yamamoto’s collaborative line with adidas, dubbed Y-3, is all about biker chic. This studded pack consists of the Honja High and Honja Low and it’s clear that these clean, premium leather kicks are quite reserved, minus the metallic studs. These sneakers follow the lead from previous Y-3 2010 releases that were conceived using the message: revolt, run and live free. This collaboration is set for release in late 2010.

//////// Anyone missing a new 4.0 iPhone?? Sounds crazy right but soooo true! A prototype next gen iPhone was recently found at a local bay area bar, one to many kamikazes! The new iPhone found it way to the ruthless Gizmodo guys and they’ve been juicing every single drop out of this sucker!
• Front-facing video chat camera
• Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS)
• Camera flash
• Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)
• Improved display. It’s unclear if it’s the 960×640 display thrown around before—it certainly looks like it, with the “Connect to iTunes” screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS.
• What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack
• Split buttons for volume
• Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic
