Can San Francisco pull the ultimate New Year’s party out of it’s ass? Justice has already been confirm for the ‘Number 9′ NYE event in Chicago. Not to say, Justice can’t pull world wide stops New Year’s Eve like Paul Oakenfold. The Thievery Corporation is on the bill for Sea of Dreams, weren’t they here last month? As with this past year, LA, Las Vegas and New York will leave SF in the dust. Let’s hope not.

Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is the latest multi-day music extravaganza to announce dates for next year. The three-day event–whose full lineup last year included Portishead, Justice, Battles, Vampire Weekend, Hot Chip, Crystal Castles, Animal Collective, and dozens of others we’re not going to take time to name here–is set to return to Indio, CA on April 17, 18, and 19, 2009. In a year that has already featured a Coachella appearance and sold out U.K. tour, Pendulum will keep the fun going with slew of upcoming tour dates that will see the Australian drum and bass group bring its dance friendly sounds and styles to a number of North American cities come the fall. Appropriately entitled the “Tour of the Americas,” Pendulum will perform live sets at every of the scheduled dates.
Along with the tour, the band has also unveiled a new music video for “The Other Side”, the third single off their recently released album, In Silico. [consequenceofsound]

Pendulum is an Australian drum and bass group originally from Perth, Australia. In 2003, they relocated to the United Kingdom. Pendulum first released, with the 31 Records record label, a track entitled ‘The Vault’ in 2003. While this track met with widespread underground recognition, it wasn’t until 2005 that they released their debut album, Hold Your Colour.

JuJuBeats 2008 The Music and Arts Festival

Is it the return of JuJuBeats? The popular outside event became defunct a few years back after a fatal accident with party goers and a pre-bust by officials who stopped the event.
So far the line-up is respectable, but I’d except a bit more for the ‘return’ of JuJuBeats. On the bill now is;

Electric Daisy Carnival 2008 Pictures
I am very impressed with Insomniac’s production at this year’s EDC. Massive setting, massive props, and massive fun.
