///////// Where has time gone? Is it that time of the year again? WMC is just on the horizon and DJMAGs TOP 100 DJ poll is underway! Who will snag this years golden record? It’s the battle between Tiesto, Guetta and Armin Van Buuren.
The nominees, which are based solely on Beatport unit sales from March 2009 to March 2010, are split into 36 categories - Best Artists (separated into 18 genres), and Best Track (17 genres), with a final open question asking the public to name the ‘most influential, relevant and forward-thinking person in electronic music over the past 12 months’.

As you can see some numbers are black and white. These numbers all depend on a ton of factors like promotion and credibility. DJmag’s poll has been going down for years so of course it is a staple in the dance community. With that siad, DJ’s having been pouring more effort into swaying votes from fellow fans. RA’s poll is the sites first stab at a viewers choice poll, there user base is unknown and although they take on a global scale I’m sure being a fairly new site they are saturated in more places then others.
