The Imaginary Foundation is a think tank from Switzerland that does experimental research on new ways of thinking and the power of the imagination. They hold dear a belief in human potential and seek progress in all directions. The small clandestine team is headed up by the mysterious “Director,” a 70-something uber intellectual whose father founded the Dadaist movement. Avoiding direct publicity, the team has sought streetwear as an unlikely vehicle for bringing their ideas beyond the academic realm and into popular culture. [vapors]

PUMA X HAN CHOLO / Struck Gold Fool!
Puma has been bringing out plenty of collaboration models, and their latest is this pair of Puma First Rounds, which was worked on by artist Han Cholo, who is actually an LA - based jewelry designer. The shoes feature a reflective gold leather upper, along with royal purple satin accents, and Olde English script. The Goldie Han nickname has been given to them, and they carry the jewelry theme to a whole other level. Unfortunately, they are limited to Han Choo’s store, are retail for $300. [kicksonfire]

M.I.A. / Pregnant / With Child and New Music.
British/Sri Lankan star M.I.A. is pregnant, although her rep has not confirmed the pregnancy as of yet. M.I.A., 31, was photographed on October 11 in Brooklyn, New York performing with rapper T.I. and N.E.R.D. Obviously those rumors of M.I.A. being pregnant are true. The father is said to be singer and guitarist Benjamin Brewer. MIA also is working on her third album. [read more]

Ecstasy To Be Downgraded to Class B Drug / UK is Cool.
Ecstasy could become a class B drug next year after findings of drug bodies and police suggest that it is at “the bottom of the scale of harm.”
The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) have told MPs that the third most popular illegal drug in the UK is several thousands times less harmful than its class A counterparts such as heroin.
There are less than 10 ecstacy-related deaths in the UK each year.
The ACMD will carry out an evidence session next Friday, 26 September, but a consequent decision will not be made until next year.
Drugs Minister Vernon Coaker claims he will oppose the move to downgrade the drug. [mixmag]
