Deadmau5 is ready to hit North America with his “Meowingtons Hax” tour to begin August 5th at Lollapalooza. He is scheduled to play shows in a multitude of cities including Vancouver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Houston, Atlanta, Montreal, and more. The tour is slated to run well into the fall—the last show is November 5th at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.

To make things even better, deadmau5 also announced that dub-step act Excision and electronic duo Tommy Lee & DJ Aero will be joining him. Better get your tickets fast—certain show dates in Vancouver, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Montreal are already sold out! Tickets are sold on deadmau5’s official Facebook page.

This past spring, the superstar DJ was also busy playing in Europe with German act Moguai, who is signed to the mau5trap record label. In other deadmau5 news, the DJ held a contest, “Design the Next deadmau5 Head”, for designers to create a new version of his signature headpiece. The contest closed July 19th and the winner will be announced August 3rd. You can view the entries HERE.  The DJ has also joined the social media realm with his deadmau5 Touch Mix app for iPhone and iPad. Using this app, fans can remix deadmau5 songs for a chance to win a custom deadmau5 iPad. The DJ also released a DVD of his show at Earls Court in London for purchase. This year he has played in numerous festivals including Ultra Music Festival, LED Festival, Pinkpop, Oxegen, Rock am Ring, and next is Lollapalooza.

The “Meowingtons Hax” North American tour is sure to be a success. This tour seems to be in much better swing than last summer, when deadmau5 was forced to cancel nine dates of his 2010 tour after collapsing at a Washington, D.C. show from exhaustion.
