The Cassius range takes inspiration from architectural proportions, specifically from the work Walter Gropius and the Bauhaus movement. Cassius applies the sharp clean lines, beautiful solid monochrome colors and classic silhouettes to a range that is individual but still wearable. The luxe frames are handcrafted from Italian zyl acetate and integrated titanium spring hinges; fitted with CR39 protected lenses with a rating of UV400. Glam and functional. Impressive. M.I.A. Launches online store to sell clothing line.
Boston’s own Bodega has put the pedal to the metal and followed up their impressive Puma and Reebok colabs with this new triple pack for Saucony. Built on a revamped Courageous TR silhouette, the graphics and matching apparel were inspired by regional high school uniforms. Updates include reflective 3M, ballistic nylon and premium leathers in colours which transition from morning to night, reflecting the punishing training regime of long distance runners. As the ‘H’ in this collaborative project, San Franciso’s HUF pay tribute to their city’s railroad history with a canvas upper that homages the hickory striped uniform of the railway worker. Far from workmanlike, this intelligent conceptual approach goes the distance in terms of detail, from the brass eyelets, branded ghilly lacing system and tipped laces, to the all-over lettering on the tongue, completed by a gum outsole. A bold move that pays dividends, the shoe is packaged with a matching striped drawstring bag embellished by six brass badges, making for another classic from a store that truly overstands the collaborative shoe process. Justice did a mix for the latest Dior Homme Spring Summer 09 fashion show in Paris, just like Daft Punk did a year or so ago for Louis Vuitton. They dropped a new track.
Classic Justice sound, epic piano chords, distorted arppegiated harpsichord, super compressed drums, filtered out synth, all the proper elements of a Justice track. [AsianDan]
